Noli Me Tangere Garden

Inaugurated on June 18, 2011, it features the Heidelberg fountain where Rizal used to drink from when he was staying with Pastor Karl Ullmer in Wilhemsfeld Village in Germany in 1886. The red sandstone fountain was given by Pastor Gottlob Weber to the Philippine government on December 30, 1964, as a symbol of Filipino-German friendship.

After several years, the drinking fountain was renovated by the Order of the Knights of Rizal with the leadership of its former commander Sir Hans G. Schoof. The fountain was re-inaugurated by former President Fidel V. Ramos during the 98th death anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal on December 30, 1994.

Also found in this Garden is the bust of Ferdinand Blumentritt – Rizal’s friend who campaigned for Philippine independence against Spain and the United States. You can also see the map of Laguna, Rizal’s birthplace and the map of Europe which details some of the European countries visited by Rizal.
