Job Description
1. Establishment and maintenance of an effective and efficient procurement management system which includes acquisition of supplies, materials and equipment of the agency;
2. Prepares work program and work accomplishment report of the Procurement Unit;
3. Reviews procurement documents for signature of the Chief and recommends actions to be taken;
4. Checks mathematical computation of the purchase orders/job orders;
5. Takes charge of warranties issued by suppliers and contractors and inform them if there is equipment, etc. for repair which is still covered with warranty;
6. Monitors delivery of items and follows-up undelivered items and inform suppliers regarding lacking deliveries or rejected items which need for replacement;
7. Evaluates and maintains a database of suppliers and the products/services they offer;
8. Ensures adherence to government and NPDC procurement policies;
9. Monitors and ensures the delivery of goods and services in the agreed quantities, in a timely manner, while observing quality measures;
10. Actively coordinates with other departments determine procurement needs;
11. Resolves issues in the procurement process;
12. Prepares and processes purchase orders in accordance with policies and procedures;
13. Liaises with suppliers to stay up-to-date on market changes that can affect the supply and prices of goods;
14. Prepares and submits periodic reports as may be required; and
15. Does other related work.
